Information on the cookies used by the Site, their purposes and duration, and how to manage preferences or withdraw consent.

Pursuant to Art. 13 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (“GDPR”) and in compliance with the Italian Supervisory Authority’s measure of 8 May 2014, Francesco Meneghello — the Data Controller — provides the following information on the use of cookies on francescomeneghello.com (the “Site”).

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that the websites visited send to the user’s device, where they are stored and then sent back to the same sites upon the next visit. Among other things, they enable authentication, session tracking and storage of preferences.

1.1 Technical types

  • Session cookies: limited to the browsing session and deleted when the browser is closed.
  • Persistent cookies: remain on the device until a preset expiry or until the user deletes them.
  • First-party cookies: set by the visited site.
  • Third-party cookies: set by domains other than the visited one; processing is governed by the third parties’ notices indicated.

2. Categories of cookies used

  • Technical or strictly necessary: ensure the proper functioning of the Site and the delivery of services. Consent is not required.
  • Performance: collect aggregated information on how the Site is used. The Site uses Google Analytics 4 only after the user has expressly consented to the “Performance” category through the banner. Without that consent, the relevant script is not loaded.
  • Functionality: store choices and preferences (e.g., language) to provide advanced features.
  • Profiling/marketing: create interest profiles to show relevant ads.
    The Site does not use profiling or advertising cookies.
  • Social network cookies: set by “social plugins” (e.g., sharing buttons). Collection and use of data are governed by the respective social networks’ notices.

The Site may include buttons or widgets that connect to social networks or external platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, X/Twitter). Activation occurs only after a user action (click on the button). 5. Processing methods

Processing is carried out by electronic means and with measures to ensure security and confidentiality. Data are not disseminated nor communicated to third parties, except to technical providers that deliver hosting or functions strictly related to the Site.

6. Provision of data

Providing data through technical cookies is necessary for browsing. The non-provision of optional cookies (functional, performance, etc.) does not prevent navigation but may limit some features.

7. Consent, management and withdrawal

Users can provide or withdraw consent to non-technical cookies via the dedicated banner (ACCEPT ALL COOKIES, ACCEPT ONLY NECESSARY COOKIES and SET COOKIES) and can change preferences at any time through the “Cookie settings” link on the Site.
