Sustainability
An approach to sustainability that combines digital lightness, responsible design and a focus on long-term value. A digital environment designed to be clear, orderly and accessible, in continuity with our vision of design as an act of care.
Digital sustainability
This website is designed to use the minimum amount of resources needed. It is a static, lightweight platform, based on clean HTML and free from superfluous elements: every component has an informative function, not a decorative one. By reducing page weight, the number of requests and code complexity, we limit the energy required for browsing and ensure fast loading times, even on slower connections.
Visual essentialism and absence of waste
The visual language of the site reflects our idea of quiet luxury: few elements, chosen with care. We avoid redundant animations, intrusive graphic effects and unnecessary components that would increase the digital load without adding real value. This essentialism is a conscious choice: focusing attention on content, while minimising both visual and energetic dispersion.
Long-term vision and fewer interventions
We design spaces and objects with the intention that they will endure, rather than follow short-lived trends. The same philosophy guides our digital ecosystem: an essential structure, conceived to be updated over time without constant redesigns. In physical projects, this translates into environments that reduce the need for frequent renovations, favouring flexible solutions, reliable materials and a careful attention to details that age well.
Materials, partners and responsible supply chains
In interiors and objects, we prioritise durable, certified and, where possible, recyclable materials. We collaborate with suppliers and artisans who share a responsible approach to production, traceability and waste management. Whenever feasible, we prefer short supply chains and local partners, to limit travel, optimise logistics and highlight the value of the surrounding manufacturing landscape.
Logistics, maintenance and everyday care
Each project is considered in terms of maintenance and long-term management. We study solutions that simplify the care of spaces, reduce the need for invasive interventions and limit energy waste. From the choice of systems to the design of built-in furniture, sustainability enters the concrete decisions that shape the everyday use of a place.
Project culture and shared responsibility
For us, sustainability is a design culture, not a slogan. We document our choices, explain possible alternatives and guide clients towards more informed decisions, both in interiors and in the objects we create. We see every commission as an opportunity to generate lasting value, reducing superfluous impact and promoting more balanced processes throughout the entire life cycle of a project.
A digital environment open to everyone
We imagine this website as a space to inhabit: understated, readable and free from excess. Digital accessibility is an integral part of this vision. We aim to design clear paths, essential visual hierarchies and intuitive interactions, so that every person can engage with the content naturally, regardless of the device used, their visual or motor abilities, or their familiarity with digital tools.
Navigation, keyboard and assistive technologies
The site structure is designed to be explored also via keyboard and assistive technologies. The tab order follows a coherent logic, interactive elements feature visible focus states and link or button labels are written to remain understandable even out of context. The overall approach is inspired by leading international accessibility guidelines, in particular the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) and the WAI recommendations by the W3C, with the aim of ensuring a perceivable, operable, understandable and robust experience.
Images, text and motion
Images are selected and described with care, to support the narrative without becoming intrusive. Purely decorative content is reduced to a minimum and, when present, does not interfere with reading or navigation. We make measured use of animations and transitions, avoiding solutions that could distract, cause fatigue or create barriers in accessing content, in line with the best practices suggested by international standards.
A commitment that evolves over time
We see accessibility as an ongoing commitment rather than a definitive state. The site is periodically reviewed to identify areas for improvement, also in light of evolving international standards (such as WCAG and the European reference framework, for example EN 301 549) and assistive technologies. We welcome constructive comments and suggestions, with the goal of making the digital experience increasingly inclusive, harmonious and aligned with the values that guide our work.
