Casa & Stili - April 2019
Andromeda, the pendant lamp designed with Davide Lanfranco for OLEV, in Casa & Stili's Euroluce selection dedicated to steel LED lamps.
Casa & Stili publishes Andromeda in the April 2019 issue, in the selection dedicated to Euroluce. The pendant lamp, designed with Davide Lanfranco for OLEV, takes its name from the galaxy visible to the naked eye from Earth. The thirtieth edition of the lighting biennial has just taken place in pavilions 9, 11, 13 and 15 of Fiera Milano Rho with 421 exhibitors, during a Salone del Mobile dedicated to Leonardo da Vinci on the five-hundredth anniversary of his death.
The page is titled "Technology and steel converge in LED lamps to create exotic and evocative atmospheres". Next to Andromeda, Nola by Defne Koz for Italamp — borosilicate glass diffuser recalling the top of a minaret, a tribute to the designer's Turkish origins — and Abacus by Draw for Terzani, spheres assembled in modules evoking the oldest calculation tool. Andromeda works on dual light emission, downward and upward, bringing a cosmic reference into domestic space.
