Rifare Casa - January/February 2026

Rifare Casa, published every two months by Edibrico, covers building and renovation techniques and materials, with photographic sequences documenting work on site. The cover of issue 103, January/February 2026, announces a special feature on lighting design, explored room by room in the Illuminazione section. For the bathroom, the magazine selects Abisso and presents it under the title Atmosfere profonde, dwelling on its blue backlighting. The collection was designed by Francesco Meneghello and Davide Lanfranco for Atelier12, the brand established in Marostica in 2013, which grew out of their meeting with a local bathroom furniture company.

On page 73, the section turns to the office in Piazza Castello. In Thomas Pagani’s photograph, a Mira R spotlight by Davide Groppi, recessed into the ceiling, trains its light on a 1960s Concetto spaziale by Lucio Fontana, with a single vertical cut. From the late 1940s, Fontana’s Concetti spaziali opened the picture plane to physical space, first through punctures and, from 1958, through cuts. In the Tagli, the blade slices through the monochrome canvas, and black gauze applied to the back gives the slit its depth.
