The Book - December 2025

On its cover, The Book describes itself as a magazine of design, interiors, architecture and contract design. In issue 29, December 2025, the feature on the office in Piazza Castello spans pages 206–209, with photography by Thomas Pagani. It opens with a full-page photograph of the meeting room and closes with a view of the waiting room, where the Chester Moon sofa sits alongside Baxter’s Loren and Allure side tables.
Upholstered in nubuck, Chester Moon is Paola Navone’s 2009 design for Baxter, a reinterpretation of the nineteenth-century English Chesterfield with deep buttoning stitched entirely by hand. Baxter has built its production around leather, which it sources from tanneries in Tuscany and the Veneto. Beside the sofa stands Loren, a cylinder in antiqued brass by Draga & Aurel, the Como-based studio that works with Baxter. Next to it, the lower Allure table has a nickel-silver top on a fluted base.
